Terms & Conditions of Use

The terms that govern your use of the Inroute Connect platform.

Last updated: 3 October 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

These Terms & Conditions of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Inroute Connect web and mobile platform, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Inroute Connect ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account, logging in, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

2. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and authorised to act on behalf of the business you register. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use or security breach.

3. Subscriptions & billing

Paid plans (Standard, Premium, and Enterprise) are billed monthly in advance in South African Rand (ZAR) unless otherwise agreed. Subscription fees are processed securely through our payment partner (Stripe). Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change pricing with reasonable advance notice; existing subscribers keep their current rate until the next renewal. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any South African law.
  • Upload, store, or transmit content that infringes the rights of any third party.
  • Attempt to access data belonging to another user or tenant without authorisation.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Use the Service to transmit spam, malware, or unsolicited communications.

5. Your data & content

You retain ownership of the business data you enter into the Service (loads, trips, customers, vehicles, drivers, invoices, and the like). You grant us a limited licence to process that data solely to provide and improve the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of the data you submit.

6. Service availability

We strive to keep the Service available 24/7 but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or changes that temporarily affect availability. We are not liable for downtime caused by factors outside our reasonable control.

7. Subscription licence & no ownership

Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence to access and usethe Service for the duration of your paid plan. You do not own any part of the app — not the software, the platform, the code, the design, the branding, the modules, or the underlying concept. All rights, title, and interest in the Service remain with Inroute Connect. When your subscription ends, your right to use the Service ends with it.

8. Protecting the concept

The Inroute Connect platform — its structure, the way its modules fit together, its workflows, its look and feel, and its overall operating concept — is proprietary to us. You agree that you will not, on your own or with anyone else:

  • Copy, clone, recreate, or rebrand this concept, in whole or in part, for use elsewhere.
  • Build, launch, or help anyone else build a product that replicates the same operating concept.
  • Use the Service to develop or train a competing product or service.
  • Remove, alter, or obscure any branding, notices, or marks that identify Inroute Connect.

This applies during your subscription and continues after it ends. If you believe someone has copied the concept, tell us at support@inroute.co.za — we actively protect what we have built.

9. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data, or business arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, fail to pay fees, or where required to protect other users or the Service. On termination, you may export your data for a limited period; thereafter we may delete it.

11. Governing law & changes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. We may update these Terms from time to time; material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email. Continued use after changes takes effect constitutes acceptance.
